The Penang Working Group is a collaborative initiative which brings together different stakeholders in Penang to share, discuss and find common solutions to the many issues facing refugees in Penang and Malaysia.

 

It is an informal grouping comprising of refugee leaders, UNHCR representatives, and representatives from different NGOs and service providers working with refugees.

The Penang Working Group is part of our commitment to a collaborative way of working. This is where different partners and groups join to celebrate collective strengths and the value of sharing. It is also a way of expressing our mutual support for the work each person and group is doing, in the highly challenging environment in which refugees find themselves in Malaysia.
